Merion is an Australian business serving Australian businesses. We recover commercial debts owed by debtors in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory — the four jurisdictions where our operations, compliance framework and registered practitioners are established.

The four jurisdictions we cover

Our service is available where the debtor is located in any of these four jurisdictions. Your own business can be anywhere in Australia — our process is fully online and by phone, so your location does not affect what we can do.

Why we focus on these four jurisdictions

Effective, compliant commercial recovery requires genuine operational presence — knowledge of local courts and processes, relationships with appropriately qualified legal practitioners in the jurisdiction, and a compliance framework calibrated to the applicable rules. We have built that in QLD, VIC, NSW and the ACT. We prefer genuine capability in four jurisdictions to theoretical coverage of eight.

How it works in practice

The large majority of recovery activity — verification, written and telephone contact, negotiation and reporting — is carried out entirely online and by phone, so there is no practical difference in how we handle an account whether the debtor is in Brisbane or Canberra. You deal with one team, one point of contact, and one consistent process across all four jurisdictions.

International recovery

We do not currently offer international debt recovery. Our knowledge, processes and compliance framework are built specifically for the Australian regulatory environment, and that focus is what makes the service effective.
