Accessibility Statement

This statement sets out our commitment to an accessible website and how to tell us about a problem.

Merion wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a practical standard, and we treat accessibility as part of how the site is built and maintained.

What we have done

  • a clear, consistent structure with meaningful headings and landmarks;
  • text and background colours chosen for readable contrast;
  • full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link;
  • descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images;
  • interactive elements — menus, tabs and accordions — that remain usable, and content that stays visible, even with JavaScript turned off;
  • support for reduced-motion preferences.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is never finished. As we add pages and features we test them, and we welcome being told where we can do better.

Tell us about a problem

If you encounter a barrier on this website, or need information in a different format, please contact us at contact@merion.com.au or by phone during office hours, and we will help and put it right.
