How do I know a letter or email is genuinely from Merion?

About your debt

It is sensible to confirm that any contact about a debt is genuine before you act on it. Genuine contact from Merion has a few consistent features:

  • it identifies the original creditor — the business the debt relates to;
  • it includes a reference number unique to your account;
  • email contact comes from our official domain, and includes your name and account details rather than generic wording.

If anything about a message gives you doubt, do not rely on the contact details contained in that message alone. Instead, reach us using the phone number and email address published on this website, and quote the reference number you were given. We will confirm whether the contact was ours.
