Trust & compliance

Legal & compliance

How Merion operates lawfully and transparently: an online recovery service across QLD, VIC, NSW and the ACT, aligned with the ACCC & ASIC guideline and the Privacy Act.

Merion is a commercial debt recovery service delivered online — by letter, email, SMS, phone and our secure portal. We do not undertake field-agent attendance, repossession, or court proceedings, and we recover only where the debtor is located in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales or the Australian Capital Territory. In those jurisdictions, our online recovery activities do not require a commercial agent licence.

We treat compliance as the starting point, not an afterthought. Every contact follows the ACCC & ASIC Debt collection guideline: for collectors and creditors (RG 96), and personal information is handled under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
